Charmingly gleeful after a good snack, but attitude needs improvement after a sub-par lunch

Hey! I'm Giselle, a NYC-based verbal strategist interested in spicy pizza and other foods, books, fashion, TV and film, music, art—lots of stuff. Compelling stories makes me happy, and I'm eager to have a hand in their creation.

In my 9-to-5 life, I'm a Senior Verbal Designer on the Brand Design and Consulting team at R/GA, where I help brands like Dunkin’, The Home Depot, Prime Video, and more figure out what to say and how to say it. Previously, I was a copy editor and occasional writer at Who What Wear, Byrdie, and MyDomaine. I also served as the New York co–editor in chief for Bitches Who Brunch, a fun resource that, once upon a time, told you the best places to brunch in NYC, DC, and Chicago.

Before all that, I was navigating the freelance waters as a copy editor at Elle magazine; working as an Associate Editor at The Aesthete, writing and editing content on a wide array of topics ranging from design to fashion to art to literature; and enjoying being an Associate Editor at StyleBlazer, where I got to do fun things like interview the costume director of Scandal, round up fall's best new fashion books, and curate a daily selection of the most important fashion news. Before moving to New York, I wrote for Refinery29 in DC—check out my stories here.
